Welcome to Our Site
The Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival
is over for another year

The Marquee has been struck, its contents returned and the FOPPC Committee are about to meet and discuss all the outcomes of the 26th Annual Festival. Hopefully we will have raised some cash towards the next bills that will arrive as a result of wanting to keep our amazing Church in tip-top condition.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped at the bar and in the food marquee over the four days of the Festival - it was hard work but a lot of fun and laughter was had along the journey.

We hope to hold another event before the year is out and will keep this page updated with any news.
The Friends of Peasmarsh Parish Church (FOPPC) charity was founded in 1991 in order to raise funds for the restoration and improvement of the fabric of this beautiful and historic church.
FOPPC puts on a number of fund-raising events each year, to which you are more than welcome. Do find out what we have in store by contacting us for more information. One of our biggest annual fund-raising events is to provide the marquee, kitchen, meals and bar for the world-renowned Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival. You can learn more about the Chamber Music Festival, which takes place every June, here.

Our Church is in the middle of the beautiful East Sussex countryside, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet just 4 miles from the bustling cinque port town of Rye. It is surrounded by fields full of crops and sheep - an idyllic setting.

The Norman Church at Peasmarsh dates from about 1070 and was probably built on the site of a pre-existing Saxon Priory. There are parts of the church which remain almost unaltered since Norman times. You can learn more about our Church activities by visiting this website or going to the Beckley & Peasmarsh Churches Facebook page. There are Church Services every Sunday at 8am (Beckley) and 10am (either in Peasmarsh or Beckley Church) plus other special services throughout the liturgical year. Please do come and visit us, either for a moment's quiet contemplation or for a Service.
You will find we are a vibrant Church community who look forward to welcoming you and your family. Children of all ages are invited to regular child-centred events from Christmas Tree decorating to pancake pandemonium. Contact us to find out more.

Just a few hundred metres down the road is a wedding venue called Cherry Barn. Many of our wedding couples choose to marry here and then have their Reception at Cherry Barn or Tillingham Vineyard (also very nearby).
